What makes MARIO different from other wellbeing tools?
MARIO isn’t a pulse-check or a data dashboard. It brings together student voice, structured 1:1 conversations, professional learning, coaching, and guided follow-up, so schools move from insight to action, not just collect more data.
Is MARIO a platform, professional learning, or both?
Both. MARIO combines purpose-built technology with professional learning and implementation support. The platform helps schools see what matters; the professional learning helps staff respond with confidence and structure.
How does MARIO support 1:1 conversations?
MARIO gives teachers clear, student-shared insight to prepare for each conversation, plus practical structures and coaching so those conversations feel purposeful and manageable, not one more thing to fit in.
How easy is implementation, and how much time does it take each week?
Student check-ins usually take around two minutes. Teachers then review insight and choose students for short follow-up conversations, often three to seven minutes each. Implementation is supported by our School Success team.
What data does MARIO collect?
Students share self-assessments and reflections across areas such as wellbeing, safety, relationships, focus, energy, happiness, learning preferences, goals, and support networks. The exact configuration is agreed with each school.
How is student data protected, and who owns it?
The school owns its data, always. MARIO is built for schools that need strong privacy and security: GDPR, FERPA, COPPA, and HIPAA compliant, with role-based access, SSO support, LTI compliance, independent security review (Vanta), and PRIVO-supported privacy. We provide full documentation for your review.
Does MARIO support safeguarding?
Yes. MARIO strengthens safeguarding by surfacing student voice on safety and wellbeing, helping staff notice concerns earlier, and connecting support so the response is coordinated. We’re actively deepening MARIO’s safeguarding capabilities, the best next step is a conversation about what fits your school now and what’s ahead.
Can MARIO help with accreditation?
Yes. MARIO produces student-voice and wellbeing evidence that supports WASC, CIS, and IB self-studies, current, organized, and ready when you need to show how your school knows and supports its students.
Does MARIO integrate with school management systems?
Yes. MARIO supports integrations and already has APIs in place for Veracross, with more available on request.
Does MARIO support different languages?
Yes, MARIO supports Spanish, Mandarin, and Arabic today, with additional languages possible through plug-ins.
Is MARIO only for neurodivergent learners?
No. MARIO empowers all learners. The MARIO Framework began as a structure for learning-support classes but works just as well in general education, helping every teacher make time for meaningful 1:1 connection and build skills like executive functioning and self-direction.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is tailored to your school’s size and needs. The best next step is a short conversation, book one and we’ll walk you through the options.
