Now Enrolling for Spring Term 2020 (February 10-April 19)
This course is recommended before piloting the MARIO Framework and will help participants create a wide range of customized tools and strategies that will assist them in confidently launching or upgrading their personalized learning support class. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the framework, learn how to weave highly effective research-based teaching strategies into their classroom, build individual components of their class that will flexibly fit within a broader structure, and develop thoughtful plans for successful implementation.
Participants will connect with other learning support teachers piloting, or planning to pilot, the MARIO Framework at their schools and engage in valuable weekly discussions. Philip Bowman will be facilitating this course and providing targeted feedback and ongoing support. In addition to weekly learning projects, participants will create and share one major project and a cumulative learning portfolio.
Understanding and Setting Up the MARIO Framework is the first of two courses that lead to certification as an official MARIO Educator. Additionally, participants can enroll with a partner school to earn graduate credits
